Mrs. Lena Haiek
Mrs. Lena Haiek serves as Owner/Director of Grandview House Preschool. Her passion for early childhood education sparked during her undergraduate studies at the University of California Los Angeles where she served as a research assistant to Dr. Brown, Professor of Child Psychology.
Upon graduation, Mrs. Haiek worked at local preschools and in tandem completed nearly 25 Early Childhood Education units through the UCLA Extension Program. After a two year hiatus to care for her new born, Mrs. Haiek embarked on her ultimate goal to open a quality preschool for her community, The Grandview House.
Mrs. Ani Oganesyan

Mrs. Ani Oganesyan has been passionate about child education throughout her working career. With a bachelor’s degree from Cal State University Northridge in Liberal Studies, Mrs. Oganesyan enjoyed teaching and tutoring all subjects to children from kindergarten through 12th grade.
Her latest and most rewarding experience was as an English teacher for a local preschool, where she also assisted in achieving NAEYC accreditation. Additionally, Mrs. Oganesyan’s admirable volunteer work as a special education teacher reflects her humanitarianism; a quality we value at Grandview House Preschool.
Mrs. Liza Makhlouf
Lion's Lead Teacher
After earning two pre-school teaching certificates from Los Angeles Valley College, Mrs. Liza embarked on her first teaching career at Armenian Sisters Academy, where she spent ten years enriching the lives of her young students. In the fall of 2015, Liza wanted a change in direction and began teaching at Grandview House Preschool! She is currently the lead teacher in the Lions Classroom.
Liza especially enjoys the daily challenge of offering young children their first school experience with a special emphasis on socialization, creativity, and providing an educational, play based curriculum. Her prime mission is to assure that each and every child is emotionally and mentally prepared for Pre-K!
Ms. Tamar Odabashian

I earned a Masters degree in Educational Psychology & Counseling and a Bachelor of Arts in Child Development from California State University of Northridge.
My experience includes 18 years of teaching preschool-aged children and mentoring college students from Los Angeles City College who aspire to become teachers.
The quote, “If a child cannot learn in the way we teach, we must teach in a way the child can learn” best describes the passion I have for teaching preschoolers.
Mrs. Alice Tahmazian
Monkey's Lead Teacher
In her early twenties, Mrs. Alice Tahmazian earned a B.S. degree in Nutrition and Dietetics with a minor in Early Childhood Education. She has worked in the field of early childhood education since 2004. Following a ten year tenure at an NAEYC accredited preschool, Mrs. Alice joined Grandview House in September of 2015!
Mrs. Alice is “grateful for the opportunity to work in a nurturing and loving environment where children can learn through play and build confidence as they experience and work through new challenges.
